About Geppetto’s

In 1991 Dawid Fourie started doing woodwork as a hobby from his home. It started out with small furniture pieces and projects for family and friends. The situation soon changed, the projects and furniture grew in size and quantity, and in 1996 he made Cabinetmaking his full time occupation.

What started out as a small one man business soon evolved into a booming business and in 2001 he moved into a 900 m2 factory and purchased state of the art woodworking machines.

His exclusively designed products soon found a following in furniture lovers. The factory in Rustenburg, Northwest Province grew into a center of craftsmen and excellence. With quality and exclusive designs as attributes, opportunities were opening up.

Each piece is crafted into something totally unique.

Big projects like Dros Restaurants, Road Lodges and Mining Houses emerged and made use of his exquisite products and designer furniture. He soon specialized in furbishing exclusive houses with all its woodwork, ranging from doors, skirting’s, architraves, kitchens, BIC’s, bars to furniture. This ensured a one stop service to many a satisfied client.

Today Dawid’s passion for wood remains as bright as it was more than 20 years ago. The pieces that emerge from his factory are authentic in every sense, made in solid wood, with classic joinery, to his exquisite designs. Each piece is crafted into something totally unique.

His strength lies in the ability to surround himself with craftsmen and women, who have the necessary skills to bring his designs to life. He has the ability to redefine the past in new designs which fit a modern lifestyle.
